Please join me for an evening of books and conversation in Paris at the Centre Culturel, my new wine bar crush. That night, I’ll be talking with fellow writer Victor Coutard. The topic—I’m not sure why, but why not—will be the spectacle of Robert Parker and how a new wine force emerged, in spite of or because of the famed critic.

Centre Culturel (part of the Chambre Noir group) is in the 18th, at 96 Boulevard de la Villette, 75019.

No fee, but come and drink and buy a book or three. Hopefully, the English version of “To Fall in Love, Drink This” will arrive on time! By the way, the food there is lovely too.
