The season is coming up! The best kosher wines are non-mevushal! That means they are not flash pasteurized—a horrible thing to do to the wine. The reason that is inflicted is so the bottle can be opened up by a non-observing Jew or non-Jew. Shoot me some questions on the comments if you want to know more.

Now, Harkham Wine from Hunter Valley had made wonderful shiraz and semillon, they had disappeared in the States. But now I see they are now available (again). That is excellent! So give them a shot. In the past the reds had been a little chunky for my taste but still expressive and worthwhile. I see you can find them on Kosherwine.com. But besides Richie’s wines, there are two new comer kosher wines that should be on your radar. One of them will be extremely difficult to find but worth it!
