Spring Break!
I haven’t had a break in way over a year so no wonder I’m burned out.
So please forgive me. I’m on Spring Break!
I’ll be back in a couple of weeks, probably posting from Georgia which is my next stop for Zero Compromise. But I am now officially on a short pause. (
In the meantime: EVENT! If you know someone who needs an intro into natural wine or just want to come and discuss some very interesting wines (and get a copy of “Natural Wine for the People”), the event is at Some Good Wine on 8th Street in the Village.
If you want to come to Georgia there is still some time to sign up. The tour is June 1-June 9th, but you have to move fast! I mean, don’t you want to get out of the country? I sure do.
I just read Steven Cuozzo’s review of Veau d’Or and laughed out loud. The funny thing is there were plenty of wines on Jorge’s list he would drink, but obviously didn’t know how to find them. (The last time I looked, Natacha Chave would be great (list is no longer online) but of course M. Cuozzo wanted chablis or pinot.. don’t get me started on that.)
And for those of you who belong to the wine club? We promise that we will be enabling a convenient way to chat and share soon!
While I’m away, in case you didn’t catch some of the previous posts, take a look at the new voices from Catalunya. Also, did you read about the two vignerons I found in the Luberon? Or my visit at 2NaturKinder?
There was also a very fun interview with Victor Coutard.
Sonia Ricci’s in Gambero Rosso (in Italian, but translatable) and the very talented Eliza Dumais focused on me in Punch’s Pre-Shift.
And with that, until the next time,
Alice
